R. K. Burns Surveying, Inc. was founded in 1989 by Robert K. Burns and Stacey A. Basham, with John and me joining the company shortly after. Together, with our dad leading the way, we tried to set the standard for surveying in southwest Florida, whether it was new home construction or the layout for some of the area's major roadways. For twelve years our Dad and Stacey built a company that soon became recognized for its quality and professionalism above all else. In 2002, they decided it was time to step back and take a break. They offered John and me the opportunity to purchase the company. We were eager to add our own personality to the leadership of the company that we helped build for all those years.

Over the last five years, the company has seen its share of success with the recent construction boom in our area. With the slow down in new home construction we have been able to revisit some of the areas of surveying that we previously weren't able to tackle. Together, with help from other family members and our loyal employees we will continue to seek out and conquer the challenges that surveying still has to offer. We will always set the bar high when it comes to quality and professionalism.
